What's the take on Fujifilm cameras?

I'm looking at getting a new P&S camera for my wife to use. She prefers something fairly simple but of course IQ is an important factor as well.

So far, I've mostly considered two fairly different options, the Panny TZ5 and the S&S DX-2G.

Now, Fujifilm has announced the F200 EXR which seems like a quite interesting option, as someone put it, "the best social snapshoter in years". The IQ in the extended DR/high ISO modes looks great, and of course for normal situations there's always 12 MP if you feel you need it. I'm thinking this might be the perfect option for my wife, but haven't heard much about how these cameras actually perform in UW situations.

Anyone have any experience?

In Japan the camera causes interest very much in spite of before release.

It is going to be released on February 21 and its housing on April 21( in Japan).

So we must wait for about 2 months.

I also look forward to the release of the camera becuse it is equipped with manual mode newly.
