Sea cucumber with acoel flatworms?

5 posts
  1. Are these acoel flatworms (Waminoa sp.) on a sea cucumber (Holothuria aculeata?) or is it only a pattern of a cucumber?

Taken in Bali Sea at daytime.

  2. wow, that sure does looks like Waminoa. I don't know if this association has ever been reported before.

  3. Ok, sounds good, but now is the question: Is it a cucumber. :-)

  4. No I do not believe it is a cucumber. It looks more like Coral (Sarcophyton sp.) to me.

  5. And also a Sarcophyton sp. makes more sense in association with Waminoa.

Thanks again, both of you, very fast one problem solved.

Waminoa sp. on Sarcophyton sp. is definitely good enough for me.
