Hi,
Can anyone help me out with which Aquatica extension ring to use with the the 8" dome and Canon 28mm f/1.8?
I've got a 50D if that makes any difference.
Thanks,
Damien Siviero

Hey Damien,
Can't help you with the extension (have you tried Peter?), but I'd love to hear how this lens goes under water. Was thinking of picking one up for above water (but holding off to see what Canon releases in the near future).
Ryan.
Hi Damien, I've not had the lens in the shop so that I can put it on my optical bench for figuring out where the optical center is located, but a good starting point would be either the 18456 or 18463 extension, in any case a short one is in order, from my experience the optical center of these primes is ususally about the same from one brand to the other, and the Nikon version comes out using a 18456.
Hope your out of the fire zone, keep those keg's out of harm's way ![]()
Jean, thanks for the concern. I'm in Sydney so business as usual for me. I've ordered the lese so I think I'll go for a 18456.
I'll get it from Peter so will ask his input on the way as well.
Ryan, I'll let you know how I go, though I think Gudge has been usual a 35mm. My logic is to replace my existing Canon 10-22mm, with a Tokina 10-17mm + Canon 28mm f/2.8. My theory is that this will give me a lens for super wide stuff underwader, and with the 28mm I'll still have a nice lens for sharks and topside shooting.
