Well you're right Jeff. Just off the phone with American and we're cancelled out of our July trip. We went through Curacao last trip but ended up spending 3 extra days in transit as flights were cancelled to the point that we couldn't make it to Bonaire quickly. Thanks for the early warning.
It's sad the way things are going. I'm sure the effects of the economy will put dive ops out of business. And continue to screw up dive plans going forward through the year.
Guess I'll have to figure out somewhere else to go.

Well, Holy Bat Crap!
I have saved AA miles for a trip to Bonaire and now that does not work.
Grrr
Now.. to decide where in the carib to go next?
Maybe St Lucia or Dominca.. never been there.
diver dave, after a little investigation, we decided on Sunset Waters in Curacao. All inclusive, including drinks. American flys direct from Miami. Worth a look.

Spirit just decided to permanently cancel Cayman too .. but thats no bad thing. By the time you add in extra cost of your luggage and the tax and all their other hidden costs you were paying double that of Cayman Airways.
In the last year or so you can fly to Cayman from DC for under $100 at times and New York is $250 and a average of $175 from Miami we do ok.
For those who don't know, Continental has a non-stop flight to Bonaire out of Houston...
Cheers
Chuck
