How to guarantee bad diving conditions

5 posts
  1. :P Just a thought on how to guarantee bad diving conditions: Buy a Canon 40D Body. Get an Ikelite housing and Tray for said camera. Argue with wife on the ammount of money being spent.

Then purchase Sigma 17-70 macro lens, and a Canon 60mm E-FS macro lens along with an 8 inch dome port and a port to suit the 60mm lens.

Sell just about every thing you own on E-bay so you can buy a DS-160 strobe and sync cord, plus some ULCS arms etc, and then intend to practice, practice, practice on your underwater photograghy skills.

This is how to guarantee the longest spell of bad diving conditions I can remember.

So to all divers in Sydney who are used to the great conditions we usually have, you can blame me for stuffing it all up.

Hopefully things will return to normal soon.

    Regards

  2. Urgh, sorry to hear it. But for what it is worth, I think many of us have had the same (or similar) situation at one time or another and it will eventually all even out....

  3. Just think how much easier it will be to get a great shot when it's better, if you can get an ok shot now.

  4. Get in the water this eve Parso, I dived this afternoon on a low tide at Shelly and had 10-12 m vis, 23C, amber jacks hunting, fairy penguin swam past and heaps of other life. There is a little swell forecast for tomorrow but nothing major... Sun looks good except it may rain..

    Have fun

  5. Keep diving and shooting. Someday you will get perfect conditions and it will all have been worth while.

Or go diving without the camera. That will guarantee great conditions.
