  2. Good shot

I like the diagonal lines & composition in the frame, good colors and lightening.

  3. Super shot, the line are excellent.

I am not sure if you lots all the detail on the side of the head, but you might try some burning to lessen the small area that looks blown out.

    Nice capture!

  4. wow that shot is amazing. good job!

  5. Very nice photo! My own preference is, in most cases, a deeper blue water background. I also agree that the head is a little hot. I played with the image in Photoshop Elements and came up with this. But it's just a matter of personal preferences, and in any case, it's a very good photo, a definite eye-grabber!

  6. I think it looks better with the darker blue, more dramatic somehow.

  7. Well, I like to increase the contrast when it makes the subject stand out more. This isn't always appropriate, but many times it's very effective.

  8. Looks better jimbo.........all you did was to increase the contrast? anything else?

  9. Yes, I also used the Magic Wand Tool to select the slightly hot areas on the head, then I used the Paintbrush to go over those areas with a slightly darker color, with the opacity set pretty low. I didn't really change it very much, but you can alter it as much as you want with this technique.

  10. I like the deeper blue better too.

I don't think you can see the mod. on the head too much but the water collor is obvious.

I usualy re-balance luminosity/contrast and maybe gamma if I need to.
