  1. Hello,

I have one S&S YS 110 now, and during these few days I`m planing to buy 1 more strobe. Here in Croatia we still have YS 110 and Alpha version didn`t come yet! So what do you suggest buy YS 110 here or YS 110 Alpha on ebay for 400 USD? Will they work fine-make problems if one is Alpha version and other isn`t? I have dual strobe cable, only strobe left:) give me some suggestion! Thank you

  2. Can somebody give me some answer:) I know that half of members has these strobes!

I have one of each and fire them via fiber optics. The 110a is more reliable with less miss fires. If you are triggering them via fiber optic I don't think you will have any problems. I have not used them with electrical connections so can't comment on that.

I have set up on YS110a and YS90Duo combination - one on syn cord (electrical) and the other on slave. They work OK with the YS110a on cord. Apparently the YS110a is not very responsible as a slave. Someone has offered his/her view about this (the YS110a slave issue) previously but I cannot find the thread.

  5. I had four students who demoed the YS110a strobes in Cozumel last week at my workshop and we found that they were very responsive even without a sync cord. The YS110a is the nicest strobe to come out to date for people who are looking for fully automatic DS-TTL functionality with camera that don't have a bulkhead. With the fiber optic cable they worked extremely well with all the cameras we used them with. Everyone got really good results.

  6. Hi Everyone, i am looking for a link or links to make a comparison between the YS110 & YS110a....anyone found any?
