I'm flying to the Maldives on Sri Lanka Air and have never flown them before. Can any of you tell me if you have experience with them, do they tend to be on time, have decent service (I'm in coach), any in-seat toys to keep your mind occupied, and reliable with your luggage etc? Any advice or thoughts would be hugely appreciated.
I've heard good things about Emirates Air but Sri Lanka Air has some nicer connections for me though I don't know anyone who's flown them.

Be warned they do cancel flights at short notice. There is sometimes long connections too if flying into Columbo for a connecting flight to Male. They do have 24 hour online check in and if you are economy then try and get a seat in row 10. entertainment is not exactly excellent like with Singapore, but they have a choice of movies and a few games. Seats are ok, food was tasty.

we were told our original flight was cancelled and then we had a 7 hour stop over in columbo which we were not happy with. they said they would put us up in a hotel for this time, which was the ramada hotel. when we eventually got to the ramada hotel they did not have a booking for us and they had no free rooms. so they didnt handle it well at all.

Emirates no longer manages Sri Lankan Airlines and it's a mess now. They cancel or delay flights a lot. But the good thing is that the flights from colombo to Male' are fairly on time. When are you arriving here? And where are u diving from?
