Who's using Sony F707 / F717

I'm curious to know how many of you are using a Sony F707 or the new F717.

I have one in an Ikelite housing (with DS-125 strobe), very content with it, except for the lack of wide angle solutions available.

So just like to know if you're using this cam, in what housing, which strobes you use and if you have any additional lenses with it.

I'm using the F707 with an Amphibico housing... well you can see the info below my post. Also have a wide angle wet lens. Been pretty lazy and haven't posted any pics since I purchased the WA and strobe.

Have been looking at the Gates housing. Send me an e-mail if there are any specific questions you have.

I just bought the Amphibico Surveyor II housing for my Sony DSC 707. It's pretty nice. I am having a bit of trouble getting my strobe connected ; the JST plug keeps coming out...

Addition of wide angle lens to the F707 and F717 does not accomplish anything if you must zoom out to eliminate vignetting. This is why Ikelite did not recommend additional lenses. Am still waiting on someone to say their add on lenses actually work in the wide angle position............

Ike are you talking about internal, or external wide angle lenses?

The f717 and new 828 would be good, but for that 20 inch boundary, where you have to switch from normal to macro mode.

With a .7 wide angle lens, inside, even if all it did was pull the close focus point in to 14 inches, that would be good enough, to not go crazy with switching, I think...

I've gone back to my 707 after using an Olympus C-750 for two years. Going to try using a Magic Filter, manual white balance on a warm card or sand.

Let you know what I find...

I've bought just now, have you some news?

Should I set manual focus? I did shot some test picts and have focusin problems.

Shoulkd I link the batteries of the camera to the housung? I've seen a contact inside the housin that is the same of the camera's one that is used to charge the batteries.
