What's the latest on Singapore baggage policies out of LAX? Are they weighing carry-on? Any leeway for photo & computer stuff? Checked bags - 2 pcs @ 23kg each? Thanks.

We flew with them in Sept., several of us on different flights. On the way over one of our friends, they took her bag. Said it was too heavy when they saw her trying to lift it up to put in the overhead. They told her it would be down below and would arrive when she did. However it didn't and she had no camera for several days. On they way back , they told me my carry on was too big and they took it but it made it to my destination. Be careful if you have two carry on's. We also watched them weigh several carry on's.
I admit, mine was overweight, I just hate packing my camera, etc. My bad. Scott

The latest for Singapore Air Economy Class is 2 bags @ 50# each. Overweight is $109 x 3 = $327 /bag. 3rd bag @ 50# $109. No scuba allowance.
EVA Air Elite Class is 2 bags @ 61# each. Overweight is ($109 + $32) /bag. 3rd bag @50# $109. Scuba allowance but in its own 61# bag (1 of your 2), so not really anything extra.
Think I'm flying EVA again this year.
And both will probably weigh carry-on. EVA weighed my backpack last year but since it was photo/computer stuff I was ok.
