Pleurosicya bilobata?

  1. Are these Pleurosicya bilobata?

    post-14523-1237683915.jpg

The picture was taken in Bali/Indonesia.

My problem is the habitat that is described at http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=22490 . They should sit on seagrass and not on a seafan. :-)

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers

  2. Looks to me like Pleurosicya mossambica, Common ghostgoby. They can be on anything including sea pens or algae. The white dashes along the spinal column are indicative.

  3. Pleurosicya bilobata ("World Atlas of Marine Fishes - Rudie H. Kuiter - Helmut Debelius") has also light dashes along the spinal column and because they are only light I think about P. bilobata.

    Cheers
