We should have done this earlier in the year but we had a ball. We saw 3 Manatees at the main site in very green water. Lots of 5' tarpon, schools of Snook, sting ray, and so many sheeps head. Cold water but a great time was had by all. Went out of the Plantation Hotel in Crystal River. JR was our guide and he did an excellent job. Hot chocolate and coffee were offered and clear wind shields, plastic panels. Way too much fun and we got to Celebrate Kay's Birthday. We had a ball. Pics are so so, sorry. Scott

Scott,
They look fine! The manatee4 pic looks like she? swallowed a diver. Fun stuff. Thanks for sharing them.
Cheers,

thanks Steve, we all had a ball. Going tomorrow to Phil Fosters Park in Palm Beach, going to try macro, we'll see... Remember, I have no idea about a dslr....wish me luck!

No need to apologize about the images, Scott. There are two of them that I really like.
Good luck on the macro shots at PFP! That's a great place for macro. I bet you'll get a bunch of nice images with that new D300 of yours

Have fun at PFP and please pass along my best birthday wishes to Kay.

Not bad Scott! Not bad at all

Are these manatees still pups or full grown adults? They look smaller than I've seen on some other postings here

THose shots look more than so-so, and does not look that green. Nice job

Scott, considering the murky water we were snorkeling in, I think your pics turned out great! I had fun even though the manatees were sparse. Seeing those huge tarpon and schooling snook was fun too!
Thanks for posting these great pics. I can't wait to go back to Crystal River next winter! Robyn
