What lens in a 6 inch dome

  1. Hi,

     

    I have an old Subal 6 inch dome I used with my old Nikon F90X SLR. I have dived a lot with a 24mm f/2.8 lens with this dome. Never tried something else. I recently ordered a new ND700 for my Nikon D700 DSLR (pending), and I'm preparing a surf trip to Indonesia.

     

    I would like to know what kind of lens I can use with this 6 inch dome. I know the 24mm is fine. What about a largest angle lens such as the 14-24mm f/2.8 or a 17-35mm f/2.8 ? I guess there is a limit, and then the 8 inch dome may be required?
