Some blenny shots from Phil Foster Park...

11 posts
  1. Hi ya'll,

Last Wednesday my buddies and I did some diving at Phil Foster Park in West Palm Beach, FL and it was the usual great dive. Though we saw many of the usual suspects...scorpionfish, batfish, octopi, arrow crabs ....what really seemed to be popping out all over the place were the blennies!

I saw a handful of these seaweed blennies poking their heads out of discarded bottles like they usually do:

....but was I ever surprised when suddenly TWO cute little heads appeared!

I also saw this male hairy blenny dressed up for courtship:

...and last but not least, I saw the yellow variety of what I believe is another seaweed blenny. You don't see these yellow guys too often!

Spring has sprung at the park! :turtle: I can't wait to dive there again next week! Robyn

  3. Hi Robyn, I love the two in the bottle, I missed those. The yellow one was really cool, first one that I've seen. Great shots!

here's one from that day. Looking forward to diving there again with you!

Very nice Scott! They're great at recycling, aren't they??? Robyn

  5. There's a really big seaweed blenny on the bow of the small sunken bay boat that always seems to have eggs in its hole. I saw some in there yesterday. They look similar to the eggs of a sergeant major. Lots of luvin going on around the bridge lately.

    Nice shots, btw!
