DX-1G Filter Question....

2 posts
  1. I was thinking of trying a Ikelite Bluewater color correction filter on my DX-1G. The specs on the camera says it's a Bayonet style fitting, but I don't see the dimensions listed on the specs. Ikelite filters come in numerous sizes, so Im not sure which size mine is? I tried measuring, but I'm not sure if Im measuring correctly. Any DX owners out there? Or anyone who can help? Thank you!!

  2. OK! So, after a lil research I think that no one offers an actual bayonet style filter to fit the housing, which is 2 5/16" (59mm??). So, options I'm considering now are a gel filter rigged somehow. Maybe for the WA lens a 97mm ring, with something like a magic filter cut to size? I could do the magic filter type on the actual cam lens inside the housing, but I'd like to have the in the water flexibility of removing the filter for strobe work. Thoughts?? Ideas??? Thanks again :turtle:
