camera bodies and housings for 3 Canon DSLRs

  1. Canon EOS 5D 12.8 MP SLR camera body (with box and all manufacturer-supplied accessories): $1350

Ikelite housing for Canon 5D: $750

    Housing and body together: $1950

Canon EOS 20D 8.2 MP SLR camera body (with box and all supplied accessories): $420

Ikelite housing for 20D (see detail below):$195

    Housing and body together: $590

Canon EOS D60 6.3 MP SLR camera body (with box and all supplied accessories): $250

UK-Germany aluminum housing for D60, with macro port and extension rings: $350

    Housing and body together: $500

All equipment is located in Hawaii, USA. Shipping is extra.

All in good working order, except 20D housing :P , which has been specially modified in order to accept Seacam S45 or Pro viewfinder. Viewfinder is not included with housing, and housing will not function without viewfinder. Therefore to use this housing you have to either buy a viewfinder from a Seacam dealer, or buy my used S45 (which I won't sell cheap). Also housing does not have all functions due to machining required to fit big viewfinder. If you don't know what I'm talking about, this housing is not for you! I expect it would primarily be of interest to a former Seacam user who still has an S45 finder, and would love to have that "big view" again.

    Hi,

Can you let me know what the shipping would be on the 20D and gosuing to the UK please.

  3. Hi,

Can you let me know what the shipping would be on the 20D and gosuing to the UK please.

Shipping to UK by postal service will be $85. Be aware that the housing comes with only a hole where the viewfinder should be. You must have a Seacam viewfinder in order to use the housing. The area milled for the special viewfinder partially obscures the rear LCD window (you may have to tilt the housing to see the LCD screen) and eliminates use of the menu function while underwater.

  4. Any pictures of the 5D and housing available?

    You can PM if easier.

    Thanks.

I will upload in several messages as there is a limit on attachment space used. In the vertical picture you can see some tiny, irrelevant scuff marks on the housing back, that I have accentuated by lighting and shooting close with a macro lens.

On the housing back you will notice that there are two stainless right-angle strobe sync ports. The lower one is the one that comes standard with the housing and is attached to the hot shoe. The upper one was custom-installed to allow remote triggering capability. I never got around to wiring that in, so you can see that the wires from that port just come out as colored wires. Below is some additional information I sent as an answer to somebody who contacted me privately about this stuff:

Only one owner on both. Condition very good on both. Some very minor scuffs on the housing, but not in front of the the LCD window or anything. Camera was purchased Jan. 30, 2007. I would estimate only somewhere between 1,000-4,000 shutter actuations as this was not my primary system, and I have only occasionally used the camera. The housing was purchased Dec. 27, 2005. The camera is newer because I flooded the housing once and destroyed the original camera, so I bought a replacement. I sent the housing back to Ikelite and it was completely refurbished. Since then I have not used either very much, so they are both in good shape.

The housing has one custom feature on it: an extra Ikelite sync port. This port plug is not connected to anything - it only has bare wires coming into the housing. My intention was to connect the wires to a plug for remote shutter activation, but I never got around to it. So you could use it for anything or nothing. It's not in the way of anything, and actually makes a good surface to rest the housing back on. If you're not going to use it, you might want to clip the wires off, just to make sure they don't get across your o-ring some day.

What's included is only what came with the original item from the manufacturer. For the housing this means a manual, tray and handles, but no ports. The Ikelite TTL circuitry is built into the housing.

For the camera included stuff is battery, charger, box, manual, strap, assorted cords & software - everything that was in the box when it came.

BTW - this is the same camera and housing that was used to shoot the winning image in the 2004 BBC WPY competition.

Ikelite strobes are compatible - manual settings only. You will need either an Ikelite to Nikonos plug sync cord, or else to wire the Ikelite bulkhead strobe to a hotshoe and use an Ikelite to Ikelite sync cord. Currently only the Nikonos bulkhead is wired to the hotshoe.

I do accept PayPal. Please be sure that you have a PayPal confirmed address for shipping.
