Light Meter Reading

  1. Hi there,

I mainly do macro photography, and am wondering if the light meter reading of my EOS 450D does talk to my YS110 alpha strobe through the syn cord using my ikelite housing ?

I tried to use shutter priority or aperture priority, and the camera does not seem to understand that there is a strobe connected to it. I have read in some books that we can use these kind of autoexposure modes even with an external strobe. How do you do it?

    Cheers

    Daniel

  3. In order to get "TTL" flash control with an Ikelite housing, you either need to use Ikelite strobes or get a TTL-converter like this:

Otherwise, you are stuck with "manual" ... which isn't so bad given the instant feedback on the LCD.
