Strobe for Digimax V4?

I have recently bought a Samsung Digimax V4 which does have its own housing available. However, what I hadn't considered when buying was whether or not the housing would be compatible with an external strobe. Are housings generally suitable for fitting a strobe or am I stuck with the internal flash?!

I know this is an old question, but I have the V4, and Samsung's housing. The housing has the standard thread underneath for mounting a strobe. I use the Sea & Sea YS-Dx27 with optical cable hook up.
