I am currently using a D-2000 type 3 strobe with my current setup, however, I am considering one of the new Sea & Sea RDX housings for either a Nikon D60 or a Canon 450D. I have searched the forums but cannot find anything directly relating to the compatibility of theses cameras with the D-2000. Has anyone had experience using either of these cameras with the D-2000 specifically using the sTTL system? (does it work?)
Also the RDX housings appear to have optical ports which are setup for their own strobes, has anyone tried / found a solution to fix an inon fibre optic to this housing? Any ideas would be welcome.
thanks
Andy, I recently purchased a Seatool housing for my 450D. I have not had the setup in the water but in practicing around the house the sTTL with my two D-2000's has been spot on. I thought I may have read on a thread somewhere that the ends of S&S FO cables can be purchased?? I don't think you would have any problem with your Inons and a 450D. I know an individual who uses the RDX housing with his 450D and is very pleased with it.
Good luck!
Jeff

Hi,
I tested 450D in RDX-450D housing with D2000 strobe last week and the sTTL works.
I use an OEM cable that plugs straight into the fibre optic port on the RDX-450D housing, just check with your Inon dealer and I believe they should have it.
So far the setup works, but I think z240 will be a better choice for DSLR setup.
