Canon 5D, Subal Housing for Sale

  1. Hi Folks,

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I won't be diving for a while. I've decided to put up my Subal C10 Housing (originally for the 10D) now modified to accept the 5d Mark 1 as well as the 40/50D. The housing is the one that is shown here: Wetpixel Article, Full camera controls are available via the transfer pad. I also have a base tray that will allow the use of the 40D/50D camera with access to shutter, main and rear command dials and SET button, housing has never been flooded. 2 ULCS balls for the Subal T mounts are also included.

    Included:

8" Aquatica port and shade with the conversion ring for use with the Subal bayonet mount. 2 spare orings for the housing, 2 for the port.

5D mark 1 (approximately 19000 clicks) 2 Sandisk Extreme 3 CF Cards, 4GB & 8GB. BG-E4 grip with AA tray, 2 OEM BP511 batteries, 2 aftermarket BP511 batteries, charger, cables, Lowepro camera strap. The camera is at about 9.5 out of 10. Minor wear marks on hotshoe and lens mount. Has just come back from Canon Canada for the mirror assembly upgrade.

2 Subal Zoom gears, 1 for the 16-35L ver1 and for the EF28-105. No other ports are included as I'll hang on to those for when my circumstances change. Asking U$3400 obo.

    thanks!

You mentioned that your machinist was looking into the posibility of retrofitting the Subal 20D housing to accept the 5D. Did he ever complete that retro? I have a 20D housing I'd like to get a little more life out of.

    Your input would be appreciated,

    Thanks, Dan

  3. No, he never did as the person with the Subal 20D housing decided not to do it. He may be willing to do a just one, but the price will of course be higher.

btw, housing and port now SOLD.
