Clowns

I just bought a Oly5050 with a PT15 and a ES150 Epoque strobe...that's my first UW camera, thanks all the reading on this forum for helping me chosing my rig.

I can say i'd like to have no shutter delay, but it's not that bad and the whole setup is 1500Euros, way less than the DSLR of my dreams. I mostly had problems for lightning correctly my pics, not that easy to get the flash in the correct position and power, i need to go dive again asap to learn .

I was in Reunion french island, in the occidental indian ocean, no big spottings underwater, lots of particles because of storms (it's winter there), but still very nice diving and i could play with my brand new cam.

Here a few shots from a family of Clowns, too bad i could never the 4 at the same time on the pic, i guess i'll need to find a photographer buddy or do solo dives if i want to get better shots.

I am suitably impressed Alex, you have taken some really good shots there. Glad too, that you're happy with the 5050. Reunion is just a 1000 km south of our IO location in Seychelles.

You could give me some lessons. Those were superb photos!

Nice photos Alexis. One thing I would point out is in the photo of Mom and Dad, the camera decided to auto focus on the anemone instead of the fish, so the background was in sharp focus but the subjects were not. You need to work a little with the camera to learn what its tendencies are so that you can either fool it or force it to do what you want, instead of what it wants.

Still, all in all very nice shots.

I think it might just be motion blur.

But I agree in principle - take control of the camera is our mantra.
