5050 slave flash mode and manual controller

Hi,

I'm planning on buying the DS125 with a manual controller (not the TTL slave sensor) as almost everybody suggested. The 5050 has a SLAVE FLASH MODE that gives you 10 output settings. My question is won't I be duplicating this function if I get the manual controller? Maybe I should get the TTL sensor instead since the camera's SLAVE FLASH MODE already mimics the function of the manual controller? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks a lot!

Those are ten very low power flash (without preflash) specifically to trigger an external strobe. See following URL:

To add to Ike's reply and the Ikelite URL , the slave mode can be used for all manual mode settings, not just Super Macro Mode. For details on using your camera in slave mode, see the following URL.
