  3. Would you be willing to sell some of the lenses separate?

    No, thanks.

The backup set won't be as nice.

    Kind regards,

    Maarten.

  4. Just a vote for this fellow's system, I shot one for a couple of years and it really was one of the best P&S out. I have sold shots taken with it professionally.

  5. Testing ... please ignore

    Thanks Jack,

I think it's the easiest way of underwaterphotography with excellent results.

    Maarten.

  7. I have two Sea & Sea YS-110 strobes. Do you know if I would have to buy Sea & Sea tray etc, or whether I could use the Ikelite?

You could use one strobe immediately. All my pictures are made with one strobe. For a second strobe you'll need another tray and another arm. It can be Ikelite or Sea & Sea. if the adapters are the right ones.

  9. dud3! your pictures are just awesome!!!

could you please tell me what strobe are you using, isn't it in the package?

and when do you use 2 UCL ?

    hmmm was wondering that

    again ! great pics!

    Thanks for your compliments.

The first one I've had was the Sea&sea YS110 but that one didn't flash a lot of the time so I've changed it to a Inon Z240. Pictures from spring 2008 on I've used the Inon. The Inon is a bit heavy underwater but it's very reliable.

That's why I've kept it and bought a second one to use with my dslr setup. I love macroshots with 1 strobe because of the shadows. Otherwise you get really flat pictures. But when I use fisheye for my new setup I need 2 strobes.

And when do I use the 2 close-up lenses?. Well, I used the 2 for the pygmee seahorse and a lot of the little shrimps. I use 1 for fishportrets.

    Maarten.

  11. Hi Maarten

I'm interested to get into underwater photography, and suspect neither my Canon 350D nor my Sony DSC-P150 are ideal

This sounds like a good kit, however without knowing its age and how this kind of equipment devalues, I have no feel for a fair price

Also, if you don't mind giving me the benefit of your wisdom: am I better-off with a fish-eye or a wide-angle lens?  What kind of ISO can it manage without unreasonable noise?  Are the CCD and aperture large enough to cope without a strobe?  If so, what are the depth-of-field effects and are these good, or something to avoid?

Sady, I wasn't able to view your website.  I'll try again later

    Many thanks,

      Neil
