I recently had a DS125 strobe flood, naturally it was on the first dive of a Photographic Contest weekend! I was lucky enough to be lent a spare strobe from a fellow contestant so my weekend wasn't totally ruined (besides which I still had my TTL DS125) anyway! I sent the strobe back to Ikelite via Cape Byron Imports here in Australia and it was replaced and sent back to me. Thanks very much to Ikelite and CBI for the great service, I must admit, it's one of the reasons I chose Ikelite ![]()

Good on you Ike!
You said in your e-mail the strobe head flooded and not the battery - what was the reason for the flood?
Just ordered my second DS125 with a manual controller - guess I'll be joining the 'dual strobe club' with no idea how to use them!

I didn't actually find out the cause of the flood

Scuba Kiwi,
do you mind if I ask how long it took for the strobe to come back?
I returned mine to my dealer 4 months ago and still have not gotten any news (although I suspect it may be the dealer's slowness)

There is absolutely no excuse for a 4 month wait. Email us directly and we will check service records and build a fire under someone. A one month wait is really too long............

It took 7 weeks from the time I sent it until the time I got it back, It did sit in the USA for about a week of that waiting to come back to Australia in with a order for CBI

I had a similar situation and a great service turnaround by Ikelite for my new DS-125.
It had flooded the battery on it's first dive, and I had 2 weeks before leaving on a trip to Bonaire. I shipped it back to Ikelite, overnight priority with the big Emergency request on the box. Ikelite had a fixed unit back in my hands in just under one week.
Kudos!
