My first dive of the season and this was the best of the bunch. I might need a few more dives to hone my skills and keep trying. This was taken off of Jupiter florida. Comments welcome...

Anyway try to get closer and use strobes if you can (though I also like photos like this due to the vibe thing generally). Also being a little lower and pointing up helps.
Also saw you used a D300 and shot NEF in the EXIF, try to use Lightroom, Photoshop etc to work with the image. Cropping and White Balancing/Color Correction which can help with images. Using your JPEG was able to do this (solely as an example) with one section.
