Canon WP-DC28 housing availability?

Okay, after much research and deliberation, I've settled on the Canon G10 camera/WP-DC28 housing/Inon S-200 strobe as my first choice to replace my Ikelite Auto35.

So now that I made the decision, I can't find the Canon housing anywhere! Everyone shows it as out of stock/back ordered. Does anyone know what is going on?

I'd like to get everything together in time to dive it at least a couple of times before our Hawaii trip the end of July. If delivery is an issue, I'll have to revert to my 2nd choice, which is the Sea Life DC1000 Elite package.

Any info anyone has would be appreciated.......

This happened to me when I wanted a housing for my Fuji F31fd. My need wasn't urgent, so I signed up for an alert from B&H when the item came in.

In your case, why not call Reef Photo or Backscatter? They can find out through their Canon rep.

Thanks for the suggestions. All the major outlets are in back order status - a friend in SoCal looking to purchase the same setup found out they are awaiting a container shipment from Japan due into the US the 3rd week of June. There still might be a few around at small independent camera shops - he was able to find one that way. I haven't had any luck with local shops so far, but will keep trying....if that doesn't fly I'll try the Japan Direct route......
