  1. Hiya,

In trying to pick out a photo to put in a comp I have looked at this shot too many times ... now can't decide whether it beautiful or boring :) (its my first open comp and I have no idea!?!) Any thoughts?

The shot is of some Tiger Anemone, taken at Jervis Bay, Australia on 100ASA slide film. Camera is a Nikon F70 & 60mm macro lens. Exposure F11 @ 1/50.

its here Tiger Anemone Trio. Slightly big (107KB), but without the detail its not the same ...

    All feedback appreciated :(

    cheers

    ... buddy :)

i was kinda hoping that the posting on the forum would give me some unbiased critique ...

  5. I think it is a beautiful pic, no doubt about that, but were you tossing up between this shot and another one for the comp ?

  6. I had a few other shots which weren't toooo embarasing  I have put a some up in a quick gallery.

In particular I had another anemone shot, which was actually my favourite on first impressions.

The Nudi looks real nice projected - it has a real luminous look, but the amount of background worries me ... (the rhinopores didn't scan real well - they are in focus!)

Non-divers lurve the seahorse. Its an OK shot, but I find it pretty static.

I like the RIF, AKA Red Indian Fish (but that maybe because most people tend to over-expose and they end up as featureless orange lumps ...) This shot has defintiely captured the quintessential RIF! But is it a nice photo, or just a "species" shot?

    hmmmmm
