After months of research into SLR systems I concluded that I wasn't ready to spend $7000-$8000 on an UW SLR system since we don't dive often enough to warrant spending that much moola (and there were other fun things I could to spend that money on instead). But since my wife and I both wanted to upgrade from our current/ancient L&M Tetra 3030/5050 systems I spent the last couple weeks trying to decide between the G10/Fisheye versus the Sea&Sea DX-2G systems. In the end we decided that the G10/Fisheye would be the better option so I ordered two G10/Fisheye systems this morning from Reef Photo. I also ordered a S&S YS-110a for each system as well as the 67mm threaded macro port adapter, flip up macro lens adapter, and the new fisheye dome port. It sounds like it will be at least a week or two before Reef Photo gets the Fisheye G10 housings in stock so it will be several weeks before we will get to try them out.
I just wanted to thank all the people (especially the guys at Reef Photo) who provided information and advice while I went through all sorts of gyrations of which UW camera systems would be best for us.
