I have RDX-450D housing & it's come with 0.5x Optical Viewfinder.
I don't have problem for WA but for macro shooting I think it's better without it.
So Question is, Is it safe (flooding) If I unscrew & remove this Optical viewfinder and take underwater?
or shoud I buy another 0.8x viewfinder? Any similar experience sea&sea user? Thanks!
if you unscrew the .5x you will have a hole about the same size as the viewfinder for water to enter. You need to purchase or trade for a .8x viewfinder.

Thanks for you reply Bill,
Actually that viewfinder hole has two glasses.
Inside one is optical finder which can remove & replace and outside one is water sealed.
I was worry about I shoud keep that optic in place for watertight integrity.
Of course I don't want to take my housing underwater with a big hole. ;-)
