Aquatica domeport

  1. Is there a big difference between the Aquatica 8" and the 6" domeport. Anybody used them both? What are the pros or cons?

Wil be using the Tokina 10-17 and Nikon 10,5

  2. I use the 6" dome all the time with the 10-17, and find the small diameter makes lighting close focus WA shots a much easier proposition.

  3. I had used both and also the 9.5" with the same lenses you have.

The 6",as said before, is easier for CFWA and better for traveling .

The bigger domes are sharper on the corners and better for split shots.

    Happy shooting

  4. with a fisheye lens you can probably use a 6 inch - i think an 8 inch is necessary with a wide angle rectilinear and that Aquatica's port extension recommendations are not necessarily correct.

  5. I just switched from my 14mm lens with the 8" dome to a 10-17 with the 6" dome and LOVE the new combination...have fun

    Thanks, Jean!

It gave me at least an 1.5 lb. less weight in my Storm case as well as giving me more actual room!
