Big Sur, June 2009

  1. Dove the Big Sur coast 12 to 15 June 2009.

Here are a few images from that trip. Mostly Macro. Hydracorals and Metridiums. An amazing place to dive. Every rock is a pinnacle that is coated with corynactus, sponges, and other life.

We were on the dive boat Vision of Truth Aquatics. Boarded in Morro Bay. Glenn Fritzler captained.

A friend of mine put a video from the trip on Y tube.

I revised this link because I was having problems with iWeb. Also note the link to a few photos of Shark finning at San Benedicto island.

    Enjoy.

  2. This link should be working now. Sorry if anyone wasted their time on the old one.

  3. nice shots, wish you posted this a few weeks ago as I just got back from a trip to Big Sur and wondered about the diving. I assume you used a 7 mm suit or a dry suit.

  4. Dry suit. The few who tried it in a wetsuit said you should be using a dry suit.

  5. Great video. I felt the music complimented the video well.

  6. Here is another (amateur) video from the same trip. It really was nice down there!

  7. Very nice.

  8. Thanks for posting these Dave - awesome. I especially like the shot of the boat w/ the famous Hwy 1 bridge in the background.

    Cheers
