I'm needing to assemble a list of the finest liveaboards in the Maldives right now. Any suggestions are welcome. The one's I'm familiar with are Ocean Dancer, Manthiri, Madivaru and Monsoon. Also looking for some interesting, off the beat itinerary's people may know of.
Thanks.

The ocean dancer is indeed a very marvelous boat, BUT at least on our trip the diving was less than spectacular. Little or no big stuff, very limited (3 or fewer dives per day) diving, quite a few long swims into current to see empty blue water. David and his girlfriend have a wonderful boat and were wonderful hosts but the diving was a big disappointment. Make sure that if you go, you go at the right time of year when big stuff is going to be around. We were there in April so maybe it was the wrong time.

Have a word (PM) with WP member Shaff, he lives and works out there and organises trips, he knows all the boats and owners.
I was back out there again this year on what I believe could be one of the best liveaboards in service around the world, which was the Nautilus2. Unfortunately we had a bad crew on the trip and for that reason it isnt in the top of my places to return to. ( the nautilus2 that is not the Maldives )
