  1. Hello all,

does anyone knows if the new Inon Z-240 type 4 recognized directly the i-TTL protocol, without connect a TTL converter?

    and the Type 3?

    thank you

you need a converter for a type 3, if you don't for a type 4 it would be worth upgrading

  3. The specification for the type 4 does not suggest that it works in a different way to the type 3: sTTL operates from the camera's internal strobe, but in the type 4 does not need a fibre-optic cable with a compact camera. iTTL would still need an external conversion circuit in an electrical connection between a DSLR and the strobe.

I don't think that the type 4 offers anything new for a DSLR user.

PS Nice to know that someone else has a 17-55mm, Rui!
