  1. Hi!

A while back I planned to make a shoredive in a place where I spent all my summers growing up. On the shores of Baltic Sea, Finnish bay.

When I arrived at the site, I noticed flags and buoys on the surface, not very far from the shore. Seemed to be a clearly marked fishingnet.

So my dive turned out to be an exploration trip to see the net...

I dont even remember what I hoped to find, but what I saw, was not pretty. A lot of fish in the traps final section - some dead, some alive. And quite an empty sea all around.

There was a big eel trapped with the anchovy's as well. So most of the fishes were trying to push themselves through the net-eyes to get away from the predator. The final section of the net looked like a hedgehog - fishes halfway through the net sticking theyr heads out.

Saddly it's a legal net belonging to a fishing company. But I did have some toughts cutting it open in all ways possible...

Very dramatic images and very well captured ( the images )

I like all of them , mostly "struggle for freedom" that's a winner.
