how can I know the positive buoyancy of arms?

  1. Hey, I bought the buoyancy arms. The sells said the arm's positive buoyancy is about 150g.

I am not so sure how to test it. :)

    Please help..... :D:):)

  2. Get a fish scale and hang a dive weight. Record the number. Then add the arms so they are completely submerged. Record the new number. The bouyancy is the diference

    Tks Steve,

I weighed the arm as 100g, but when I put it in the water, it is on the water surface, :) can not be submerged. Does it mean it is 100g of positive buoyancy?

If my whole set is 1.5kg and diving depth about 5-7meters, do you think 2 pcs of such arms will be good to reduce the weight?

Submerge the entire fish scale, and measure how hard it pulls UP. Essentially, use it upside down.

When Steve said use a weight he meant it. Hang a 2 lb lead weight on the scale and record. Add the arm and measure again. The difference is the bouyancy.
