  1. The Earth Touch crew with my old buddy Barry Skinstad, Roger "the sweetheart" Horrocks and my Jungle Monkey partner in crime Ian Cook found some awesome action at my favorite event of the year ... which includes a shark almost been consumed like a sardine! Just watch this:

  2. Very cool. Lovely movement of the sardines throughout. That shark motored a bit when he was in the jaws of the whale.

  3. It's too bad the microphone couldn't pick up shark speak! :)

  4. Saw this one on their site and not in person :) . Wow! And again Wow!

  5. Now that does look like fun.

What an amazing experience and piece of footage.

The whale came fast and close to the camera guy, bet he shat himself if he did not see it coming. :)

  6. I think Barry was suffering from VF syndrome when the tail swatted him. Those Bryde's are like torpedoes.

  7. Whoa!!

That really is some incredible footage--and what an experience that must have been to be in the middle of all that!!

  8. That is some awesome footage! Video really captures the essence of the Sardine Run.

Was just out there for a week. We had some amazing action, and lucked out with 4 days in a row of intense bait balls with bryde whales for two days in a row. Haven't had the time to go through all images yet, so obvioulsy we haven't published a story on DPG yet, but I did post a few initial images on my personal blog:

It was one of the best underwater experiences of my life. Just amazing.

A story with 30+ images is coming soon.

PS: Drew thanks for the advice prior to us heading out there!

  9. Jason, there's absolutely no excuse why you're so tardy with the images when Earth Touch has it out edited and graded within a week. You only like have a website and business to run! What's the delay? :B):
