  1. Any help with identification would be appreciated. I believe this is a very common nudibranch. It might be Flabellina pricei, but it lacks a subapical brown band near the white tip of the ceras. Also, please let me know what you think about the shot. Critique is more than welcome!

For reference: Nikkor 60mm @ ISO 100, f22.6, 1/90 sec. Image was shot RAW with a nudge of color correction during export. Image is not cropped.

  2. Great shot! Nudis are my favorite. I'm going to check my book at lunch today and see if I can find the species. What was it...about 2 inches?

  3. Diverhead,

    I think it's Flabellina fusca.

Very close to picture in "Pacific Coast Nudibranchs, Behrens".

    Thanks,

    John

  4. Awesome. Thanks for the ID! Somebody on a different forum pointed me to The Sea Slug Forum where it also indicates it is a Flabellina fusca. Too many species of nudis to choose from. :freak: I love nudis!!!

  5. Very beautiful picture.

I see that you already found the sea slug forum.
