  1. hey im planning on booking a trip to guadalupe island this october and was wondering which dive boat you guys would recommend. thanks a lot.

  2. Solmar V gets my vote; there's been a thread(s) on this before if you do a search.

  3. Solmar V on the 28th of September for me.

Still some spots left in sep/oct.

Was going to do the Australian trip (Rodney Fox) this year and then go to Guadalupe next year.

Sadly no reply to my emails from Fox so I am taking my $$$ overseas.

  4. Solmar is definitely a great way to go!! And Lawrence and the staff from Shark Diving International operate those charters and they are a heck of a group, you would have a blast!!

    Hi Scubaseven,

Jen here from Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions. I have just registered with wetpixel and was very distressed to see that your efforts to contact us went unanswered. Please check our Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions facebook page to see that we are alive and well. Please also contact me direct on 0488 920033 if you would still like to enjoy the special advantages that we can provide here in South Australia.

Kind Regards Jen ps, hope you had a great time in Guadalupe

  7. I'm writing this from teh salon of Nautilus Explorer as we prepare to head out to Guadaloupe. First impressions are fantastic - the boat is huge and well fitted , the diving deck is more than spacious , the crew are very accommodating.

Bluwater & white sharks here we come.

  8. I went with Nautilus Explorer in September and had mixed feelings. The shark action was great and most of the staff was great. The food was pretty bad. There wasn't much air circulation. They let scientist that live on the island use the cages which meant less time for the guests. Several of the staff made negative comments about my Sea Shepherd shirt and how it was a bad organization, then went on to beg for donations to start their own conservation fly over group.

The night we arrived, the Solamar V was being sent back to port by the Mexican Navy for chumming the water. Supposedly it was their first night there and the Captain was arrested.
