D700/D3x and corner sharpness

Hi,

I am thinking of moving to FX but what is holding me back is the problems with the corner sharpness. I don't want to invest money in a new camera and housing and come back with less IQ pictures regarding wide angle. Wich of you is really satisfied with your corner sharpness when using wide angle lenses ( not Fisheye lenses)???

Alex have you figured out what dome-extensionring gives you the best corner sharpness???

I am happy with the corner sharpness with the 17-35mm and 28-70mm, which are the two wide angles I use routinely with my D700. I use a dioptre on each with my Subal.

Others are happy to not use a dioptre and get sharp corners.

So I think in general most people are happy with the corners as long as you find a good port set up and compose images with a little care.
