Hello all

Macro Mate
or
Woody's Diopter

SubSee by ReefNet Inc. and they ship all over the world
Bernando,
The macromate is port specific and a much more elegant solution vs the push in Woody's. Magnification is higher with the macromate. BUT the Woody is $90 vs $500 for the macromate. So is elegant solution, greater magnification and slightly better image worth 500%. That's something you'll have to decide.
What camera do you have? The Subsee works better with crop sensors ( there's vignetting with full sensors from what I remember).
I suggest you search the forum to look for results from each system and decide then.
Hi Drew
i have two cameras, Nikon D80 and D300, the first in a Patima housing, the second one in a Subal housing.
I ask why the price is so differente? can not be only because the "aspect" that Macro Mate have...
best regards

Supposedly there is a new SubSee coming in 67mm diameter that is in two powers, +5 and +10 (the old small subsee was a +10), and according to Keri will be here soon (he promises). Both the SubSee and the Macromate will get you to 2:1 magnification with a 100 mm lens while the Woody's will probably get you to 1.4:1 or so (I don't have my pool data handy). A lot depends on what you are trying to accomplish, but don't forget that with higher magnification comes the pain of very very small DOF and focus issues.
As Drew points out the $400 difference is real, and you can get slightly more magnification with the MacroMate or SubSee than with the Woody's but is it worth the price???
Bill
