Soulcam, the airship camera system for aerial shots

Having seen the Soulcam in action, I thought those who need a cost-effective aerial shot on location that's not from a helicopter would appreciate the heads up on this product. It can take 35mm or HD rigs like HDCAM and Red.

Here's a demo video link:

Very cool.... it would be great if you could get some Whale breaching shots from close up.... or great white... endless possibilities, I seen a few remote control helicopters but this would be silent.

Wow awesome! Not sure what your definition of 'cost effective' is though Drew! LOL

Cheers, Simon

I actually enquired about using the guy for a shoot I am involved in down in South Australia. Main drawback was the amount of helium the thing needs, made in unmanagable for the project.

Looking into getting some investment to use a helicopter with giro stabiliser.... will be very cool if we can raise the cashola!

It's not really a viable option from a boat, Jonny. The operator is hard wired to the airship. If you need help with ZA chopper pilots, I know a few who have worked with IMAX and BEEB.

What's ZA? Are you thinking South Africa not South Australia?

Opps SA. I also know someone in ZA too lol.
