Sony Camera Repair Shop Suggestion

Need to repair FX1 and Z1U - anyone have any experience with a shop in the US? Cameras don't want to take the tapes - exhausted all options. Definitely need to send them in.

Don't know if its the same thing but my Tape carriage was playing up and saying 'Re-insert tape' All i did was give it an initial tap/bang/thump then it worked fine ... After a while it seems to have learnt who's boss and I haven't had the prob again ...

Wish it were that easy Dean - but this one's a bit more stubborn. Multiple issues going that have rendered it useless. Thanks for the thoughts though - seems as though camera repair shops are a premium as virtually everyone I've asked in the industry about this - has no real solution?

Well, you can always send it in to Sony, although you can probably buy a new camera for less than the fix will cost from them, based on my experience.

Arm yourself with some tiny screwdrivers, good light and magnifying glass.

I sent my camera off to get fixed once, came back still with the same problem so I fixed it myself.
