Fantasea CoolFlash Underwater Flash Kit - $175 OBO

2 posts
  1. Hi everyone. I'm selling this kit because it was a gift bought for me that I never ended up using. It is designed to be used with a point-and-shoot w/ underwater housing. I've read good things about it, but again just haven't had a chance to use it. This kit is new in box.

I'm asking $175 or best offer. The kit sells retail for around $215. I'll ship anywhere in the US for $10. I will accept paypal. I know i'm new to the community here, so that makes me suspect, but this isn't a big-ticket item, so hopefully that helps. I've sold many many items on Nikonians.org (where I have over 1000 posts) under ID "anyholt" and I have 100% positive feedback on eBay under the same name. Feel free to call me if you're interested, so we can talk in person. My number is 281-660-5966. I live in Houston and would allow local pick up as well.

Below is the Description and photo from B&H:

This Fantasea CoolFlash Nano Flash Kit combines a durable watertight housing together with a remote land flash. The combination provides the perfect economical solution to be used with all digital point and shoot cameras. The strobe unit triggers in sync with the digital camera's internal flash by a small light sensor in the strobe body.

The Nano has three flash modes to suit a wide variety of digital cameras. Whether your camera is capable of manual mode, or has one or two pre-flashes to set exposure, the strobe ensures correct exposure with all such camera types.

The CoolFlash Nano attaches easily to the included flex arm and the photographer is ready to shoot great photos underwater and outdoors in extreme environments. The CoolFlash Nano works with all Fantasea housings as well as other digital camera housings.

As you go deeper underwater the blue color of the water filters out all the beautiful reds, oranges and other colors. Using an external flash close to your subject brings back the true vibrant colors of the underwater world.

The camera's internal flash is too close to the lens and will cause a snow like effect called back-scatter. The internal flash along with the included fiber optic cable is only used to fire the CoolFlash Nano.
