  1. I'm going to Fuerteventura for two weeks early October.

It's a family vacation not a scuba diving trip, but I would like to try to do few dives.

Any advice as to which sites/operators to choose?

What can I expect this time of year?

    Is long 5mm enough?

I've seen some amazing shots from that area here on wetpixel, so I hope I can get some good advice :)

  2. Hi there!

    No wind!!!

It's time of "Las Clamas" in Canary Islands. So shore dive will be very easy get in and out.

Long 5mm, it's enough and without hood

About centres, I'm sorry I'm from other island. But could help if you say where you'll be in Fuerteventura, Corralejo? Jandia?

Hope you have fun with your family

    Cheers

    Maria

  3. There are three main dive areas in the island:

North and Lobos Island: try with (both very profesional)

Mid Island: in Caleta de Fuste

And in the south (these I have not tried as I always go shore diving with friends):

Here you have a preview of a diving guide:

Dives not to miss: Veril of Jandia in the south and Lobos island´s dives.

If you are going two weeks you may cross to the neighbour island of Lanzarote where there are GREAT dive sites. Tell me if you on plan on crossing so I can give you advice...

  4. Thank you.

I'll be in Caleta de Fuste so Deep Blue Diving seems like the best choice for me. I'm glad you recommended them.

I think I'll skip Lanzarote this time. My main goal is to have fun with my family (2 small kids) and diving will be just an extra thing.

I don't want to get frustrated from trying to do too many things at once. It seems there will be enough on Fuerteventura to keep me busy.
