Highlights: White shark hits cage. White shark tears off fender. White shark tears off air supply hoses. White shark destroys floating carpet cutout. White shark bites two large holes in floating surfboard.
Fun trip, overall.
Here's a photo of the shark taking out the air supply (courtesy of Michael Dukes, who took the photo):
I would've been peeing in my wetsuit, I think Great shots/trip report! How was that pole cam rigged up?
Polecam:
Remote and video out from D60 wired through an Ikelite bulkhead (2 pins each). Used the PC connector that came in the Sea & Sea housing (I have no idea what it was used for, so I ripped out it, and the box it was connected to) and the video cable that came with the D60.
Pole: West Marine 8' boat hook. Would have purchased 12' boat hook if I could do it again. Drilled out the hook, and attached a ULCS ball. Used Sea & Sea bracket that sits on top of the camera and attached another ULCS ball to it. Clamp, and fire away.
Jim Watt uses his hotshoe mount for pole-camming activities, but I am far too scared to try something like that.
Now I need a shark fix.
Well done as always Eric. Some definate keepers in the bunch. Alas, EPIC shark contest here you come.
