  1. Hi everyone,

Here are some of the shots I took in Anilao with my new toy, the LUMIX GH1.

All images were taken with Lumix GH1, 7-14mm lens, Twin Inon Z240, Dome Unit and Nautilus (Japan) custom housing.

Btw, this is my 1st time with a Dslr... Happy viewing... ^.^

    Oooh Ed,

You were great with the P&S and just awesome with your new pany GH1. No shutter delay and fast focus with the 7-14? Are you going to stay with the L X3 for macro or get the Leica 45 macro lens? I am following the GF1 very closely, hoping to down size some day.

    Bob

  4. oooooo Ed! an SLR?! colour me shocked!

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for the kind words. I feel that there's not much shutter delay and the focusing is pretty fast, I quite impressed with it. However, I have not really used any other Dslr before, so can't really give an infinite answer. The unit is on loan to me and I was just testing it out for a friend. I'll definitely stay with my LX3 unless Panasonic is willing to sponsor me. Hehe... :D

  7. An the final jump is made, dSLR :fishblue:

Great shots as always. Really love the verticals off the wall...

Wonder how good you will get when you use the same camera rig for more than two dives in a row :D (Joking of course, they are all great. I will always think of you a bit as G9, then G10 then.... :fishred: )

  8. I recognize that little beach at Sombrero and even some of the corals! Very cool.

On my monitor the reds look a little overcooked, and there is some blurring and distortion in the corners. The composition and subjects are awesome.

    Cheers

    James

  9. Wow! Thanks for all of the kind words, fellas... :fishblue:

Mike - Just testing the water only... Hehe...

Deep6 - I wish you work for Panasonic... :fishred:

Drew - Whahaha... Looks like I will only be remember as a compact guy... :D

James - Yup, Sombrero it is. On my laptop is looks a bit greenish though... Hmm, strange. I think its bcos I'm using the 7-14mm lens. Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

    Ed.

  10. Love the split shots, remind me of being there!

As always, regardless of camera, your lighting is superb.
