There are a number of devices that move flash-type memory to a hard drive without use of a computer. These seem ideal for travel. Typically, they have slots or adapters for many types of memory, a hard disk of 20-80 GB, an internal battery, and USB 2.0 for transfers to computer when you get home.
Do any of you have experience with any of these devices? I'd appreciate any recommendations (or pans).
Try a search on Archos, Image Tank or storage devices and I think you should come up with quite a bit of info about these pieces of gear. Personally I use the Archos Multimedia Jukebox and am very happy with it.
