I have a S&S 110a and have finally made it work with my Olympus SP550UZ compact digital camera

with an optical cable from the camera to the strobe.

You need to have the camera set with pre-flash mode on

The strobe needs to be set in TTL with the slave on and the meter set to full....

Works like a charm (at least out of the water - I'm going to take it diving soon)

I just purchased a second 110a to eliminate some of the shadowing I've been getting in manual mode

Wrote to S&S and they confrmed that the second strobe will also work in TTL...

cable can be connected either to the camera or to the 1st strobe.....
