Exponential Times

Pretty cool and thought provoking, specially for us old fogies!

So?

Look at almost any demographic and we've been living in exponential times from the end of the last ice-age, tho' I'll admit that on a smaller population base the "noise" from plague etc sometimes obscured the underlying trend.

All about the rapidly increasing rate of change, hence exponential.

Toffler's Future Shock described it well, though I don't think even he imagined how the rate of change would increase so rapidly.
