Just wanted to post a few pictures I took while on the Digital Dive Safari with digideep.com. They are from my own Canon S40 camera with an external Sea & Sea YS-90 strobe. Andi and Lars from digideep took hundreds with the SLR cameras, so im sure they will post them on the www.digideep.com website soon.
It was a great week of diving...
Cheers

I love the nudibranch!
I like the expression on the faces of the Batfish
Ras Mohamed?
Hi,
Yes the batfish does look happy for some reason , posing for the camera with his partner. I'm nearly sure it was Ras Mohamed. The dive was near the wreck where all the toilets are...Actually I got the picture of the nudibranch on the same dive as the batfish.... Nice dive!
Thanks...
Derek.
Jolanda.
I love the oddness of that site. Some wonderful sealife there too, as you found.

Thought so!
If you had nipped down to 68m you could have seen the rear side of the Jollanda wreck
yeah ....or the inside of a body bag! :freak:

I'm Red Sea-challenged. Would someone please explain the toilets comment?

The Jolanda was a Cyprian boat that went down in 1980 near Ras Mohamed very close to the shark observatory dive site, its cargo contained a large quantity of toilets.
The toilets are still there, the boat itself went down more and can't be reach by regular diving.

That time of the month again?
Dave's got some pictures of this wreck.
Not to downplay the mirth and levity, but to get a bit scientific here, according to my Indo-Pacific Coral Reef Field Guide, the nudibranch is a Chromodoris kuniei, and one of the prettiest nudibranchs that I've seen.
And the toilet story is priceless. I have to dive in the Red Sea now just to see this tourist attraction!
Last year, someone parked a bicycle next to the Tibbetts, a former Soviet guided missile frigate sunk off Cayman Brac. I thought this was pretty funny until I saw the toilet picture.
